An extensive two-month journey through Australia was terminated following the fatal incident of an older female passenger who was abandoned by the cruise liner on a distant coastal location.

The elderly woman had been hiking on Lizard Island with shipmates from the vessel, but separated from the excursion for a pause. The liner left without her and returned after some time after the personnel realised the passenger was not present.

An extensive search operation discovered her remains the subsequent day.
