Assassin's Creed Introduces Bizarre Attack on Titan Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising partnership that challenges conventional predictions, the game developer has unveiled an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free bonus story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the authorized statement, "A strange meeting pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new mission, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.
The mission concentrates on "strange trials and a terrifying foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Locations and Changes
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.
Special Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana in addition to numerous objects secreted throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-themed costume for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Special weapons
- Survey Corps vehicle
Newest Free Story Addition
This patch also introduces the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "The Mystery."
